Size: Adults typically range from 10–25 mm

• Body plan:• Lacks a carapace

• Segmented into head, thorax, and abdomen

• Equipped with stalked compound eyes and a median naupliar eye

• Thorax: Bears 11 pairs of phyllopodia for swimming, respiration, and feeding


Conservation Status


• Not formally assessed by the IUCN Red List

• No known federal or provincial protection
